Collect Registration Plates This Saturday

Notice Board 03/11/2017

The Department of Vehicles and Drivers Licensing (DVDL) reminds individuals who have been called by DVDL to collect their registration plates. The Crewe Road office will be open this coming Saturday (4 November 2017) from 9 am to 12 noon for the sole purpose of conducting plate exchanges. DVDL has contacted some 2000 customers who are yet to collect their new registration plates and coupon.

The department encourages those customers to take advantage of the opening hours on Saturday at the Crewe Road location to exchange their registration plates.

Customers are reminded that when exchanging their registration plates, they are to also bring the existing coupon, logbook, and registration plates.

Here is a simple, solution to this problem:

    1. Set a cut-off date where temporary plates issued before September 1, 2017 were issued would become invalid.

    2. Charge a late penalty for anyone collecting their new plate after the cut-off date.

    3. RCIPS is then expected to issue tickets for displaying expired plates.
