CIFA Training Opportunities Continue

The Cayman Islands Football Association (“CIFA”) has released course details for the second half of 2015, aimed at providing certification opportunities to coaches and administrators. Courses are offered in partnership with FIFA or CONCACAF and are free of cost to CIFA members. Course information is as follows:

FIFA Women’s Football Coaching 10-14 September 2015
CONCACAF Grassroots Coaching 17-19 September 2015
CONCACAF Goalkeeping 24-26 September 2015
CONCACAF “D” License 1-4 October 2015
FIFA Referee’s Beginner’s Course 7-11 November 2015
FIFA Elite Coaching Course 08 23-27 November 2015

The association has also continued support for First Aid and Darkness to Light anti-abuse training. These training opportunities are offered in conjunction with the Cayman Islands Red Cross. CIFA member clubs can access them on a complimentary basis.

“CIFA is committed to ensuring coaches and administrators have opportunities for development,” said First Vice President Bruce Blake. “In addition to Grassroots and “D” License coaching courses – which are mandatory – CIFA has secured a number of other courses which offer development opportunities in other areas of the sport.”
