Sign Up for Honouring Women Month Colour Me Purple Walk/Run

Colour Me Purple 5k Walk/Run events will take place on Saturday, 17 March (Kaibo) and Sunday, 18 March (Smith Cove, South Sound). These Department of Counselling Services races are part of its Honouring Women’s Month #PressForProgress celebrations.

Walkers will set off at 6.30 a.m. and runners at 7 a.m. at both locations. Register and pay $20 for their early bird special by Monday, 19 February either:

■ online at http://www.caymanactive.com, or

■ by visiting the Family Resource Centre (FRC), North Sound Road.

Regular registration is also available at the following Foster’s Food Fair locations:

■ Foster’s Food Fair: Airport – Wednesdays 21, 28 February and 7 March, 11.30 a.m. – 1 p.m./5 p.m. – 6.30 p.m.;  Countryside – Tuesdays 6 and 13 March, 5 p.m. – 6.30 p.m.)

Regular $25 registration includes raffle entry, T-shirt (for the first 200 entrants) and breakfast. Colour bombing stations for all participants and medals for runners will also be available. Collect runners’ race packets (T-shirt and bib) from FRC on Friday, 16 March, 8.30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Event proceeds will go to empowerment programmes for women and youth.
