The Department of Environmental Health (DEH) advises residents of Cayman Brac to anticipate a slight delay in residential garbage pick-up in some communities scheduled for collection today (Thursday, 28 June 2018). Affected areas include areas in the vicinity of the Public Works Compound to West End including Old Airport Road.
The delay is caused by the mechanical failure of the assigned garbage truck. Repair work is currently underway and garbage pick-up is scheduled to resume no later than (Friday, 29 June 2018).
The department also advises residents that scheduled garbage collection has now resumed on Grand Cayman.
The Department of Environmental Health apologises to residents in the affected areas and urges those residents who continue to experience non-collection of their garbage to make contact with our Cayman Brac office by calling 948-2321. Residents on Grand Cayman may contact DEH at 949-6696 or email@example.com
