    Please be advised that the Cayman Islands Department of Immigration’s Cayman Centre office is currently closed to the public due to urgent facility repairs. The closure includes the office’s Boards and Work Permit section, in addition to the Call Centre, Appeals and FOI section.

    The Cayman Islands Health Services Authority (HSA) has immediately ceased the generic medication valsartan, which is used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure due to an impurity discovered in the products and a recall issued by the United States Food and Drug Administration and The European Medicines Agency.

    The Needs Assessment Unit (NAU) advises the public that its offices, on Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac, will close for the afternoon on Thursday, 26 July from 1 p.m. for a General Staff Meeting. Normal office hours will resume on Friday, 27 July 2018. The NAU apologises for any inconvenience this closure may cause.

    The Public Health Department reminds parents that school entry screening continues. All students entering government or private schools for the first time are required to have health screenings before the new school year begins in August.

    The Cayman Islands Government London Office is hosting the fifth annual summer reception of Cayman Connection UK in Cayman on Wednesday, 18 July 2018 at the South Sound Community Centre. There is a drop-in session from 12 to 3 pm, a workshop on culture and etiquette from 5-6 pm and an anniversary reception from 6-8 pm.
