The Cayman Islands National Museum is holding a special Christmas Looky Ya! event on Saturday, 25 November from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to mark the museum’s 27th anniversary. The event will include the opening of new exhibition “Shaped by the Sea”, celebrating the life of “Captain Chuckie” Ebanks, which runs for six months. Festivities will also include local artisans, artists and food.

The Cayman Islands Book Fair takes place this weekend (Saturday, 28 and Sunday, 29 October 2017). The Ministry of Education provides financial assistance through the Early Childhood Assistance Programme (ECAP) fund for young Caymanian children who were born between September 1, 2013 and August 31, 2014. ECAP applications are once again being accepted from families that meet certain criteria to assist with the payment of fees at an early childhood centre until 30 June 30 2018. The fund is limited, and thus will be allocated to qualified applicants on a first come, first served basis until it is depleted.
