Extension for All Contractors to Register

The Builders Board has extended the deadline for all local contractors to register with the board. The contractors’ deadline is now Tuesday 31 July, 2018. This registration requirement is for general and civil contractors, residential and building contractors as well as trade contractors. Special Immunisation Clinic for Vaccination Week in the Americas

The public is invited to attend a special Immunisation clinic on Saturday, 28 April, 2018 at the Public Health Department from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m, to assist all children needing vaccinations, including those with missed/outstanding doses. Parents will be contacted to schedule appointments. For others seeking vaccines, no appointment is necessary and they will be administered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration for Government Schools Now Open

The Department of Education Services (DES) would like the public to know that registration for students enrolling in, or transferring to Government schools for the 2018/2019 school year will be open on Tuesday, 3 April 2018 and close on Friday, 29 June 2018. Registration for Government Reception classes is open for qualifying children aged 4 Years 0 months before 1 September 2018. That means a child born between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014 is eligible for reception, and that he/she must have already turned 4 prior to 1st September, 2018.

Linford Pierson Highway Temporary Road Layout

Starting from Monday 16 April, there will a temporary change to the traffic flow along Linford Pierson Highway. This change is part of the overall widening-project for the roadway and will facilitate NRA crews to complete the project. The west-bound lane (heading towards George Town) between Halifax Road and Rankin Drive will merge from two lanes to one lane. After Rankin Drive, the road will open back up to two lanes.
