Kick off the summer by celebrating Cayman. This Saturday, 23 June, the Celebrate Cayman Summer Festival takes place along Harbour Drive in downtown George Town from 4 p.m. to midnight. The festival, hosted as part of a year-long celebration of the Coat of Arm’s 60th anniversary, will feature vendors offering diverse food, arts, crafts, and specialty items, live musical performances, a historical exhibition, interactive booths with local community-serving organisations, a children’s activity and fun zone, a fireworks display, and more.  Admission is free. The Department of Environmental Health (DEH) advises residents of Grand Cayman to anticipate delays in residential garbage pick-up in some communities scheduled for collection today (Thursday, 21 June 2018). Affected areas include Frank Hall homes off the East-West Arterial, Anise Estates, Shamrock Road (from Ocean Club to inside Spotts Newlands), Shamrock Road (from Tall Tree to the entrance of Will T. Drive), North Sound Estates, sections of Moonbeam Drive including Nathan Merren Drive and Candlewood Drive to Brushwood Way as well as Hirst Road (College Close to Windward Drive). Statement on the passing of a Year 6 student from Sir John A. Cumber Primary School

On the 20 June 2018 Sir John A. Cumber Primary School (SJACPS) was notified that one of their Year 6 students had passed away at home earlier that morning.  The Ministry of Education, Department of Education Services (DES), and the School offer their sincerest condolences to the family during this most difficult time. A team from the DES has been deployed to the school which includes the Director Ms. Lyneth Monteith, Senior School Improvement Officer for SJACPS Mr. Ian O’Connor and several Counsellors to offer the necessary support and counselling to the staff and students, especially the Year 6 students and teachers.     The deadline for filing beneficial ownership information for Cayman companies is 30 June 2018.  The General Registry will have extended hours on Thursday, 28 June and Friday, 29 June to facilitate filing of beneficial ownership information. Ordinary resident companies are required to file this information through the Cayman Business Portal (http://www.cbp.ky).
