Free Testing on World Hepatitis Day

The Cayman Islands joins in global observance of World Hepatitis Day this week. On Tuesday, 28 July 2015, the Cayman Islands Hospital will offer free Hepatitis B and C testing from 9 am to 1 pm. Fee testing is also be available, by appointment only, throughout the week of Monday, 27 – Friday 31 July. This Thursday, 23rd July, the Cayman Islands National Museum will showcase our traditional arts and crafts, scaled back to within the confines of our courtyard, and will feature West Bay artisans, Rosemay, Carlin, Darvin and Effie Ebanks, and Marcia Hydes. Plaiting and basket making skills as well as caboose cooking skills will be demonstrated. Fish and Fritters, heavy cakes made from ground provisions, cassava and bananas, will be on sale. We look forward to seeing you and hope that you enjoy the great food and activities!

    The Liquor Licensing Board has approved a blanket extension to all retail, wine and beer, restaurant, and hotel licences for the following dates: Tuesday, 26 December 2017, 12.01am until 4am and; Monday, 1 January 2018, 12.01am until 4am. Regular licensing conditions/hours apply to Sunday, 24 December 2017; Christmas Day –Monday, 25 December 2017 and Sunday, 31 December 2017.
