West Bay’s DVDL Closed on Tuesday

The West Bay office of the Department of Vehicle & Drivers’ Licensing’s will be closed on Monday, 6 July – the Constitution Day Holiday. The office will resume regular hours on Wednesday, 8 July, from 10am until 6 pm. The management and staff apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Election boundary public meetings

Notice Board 30/06/2015

The Electoral Boundary Commission will hold two final public meetings to discuss the new proposed electoral district maps. These will be held on Tuesday, 7 July 2015, at 5.30pm at the George Town Town Hall and on Wednesday 8 July at the Savannah United Church Hall at 5.30pm. Final written submissions to the Commission must be received by 8 July.

Electoral District Maps at Libraries

The new proposed electoral district maps are available for viewing at the respective district public libraries on both Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac. A full set of maps is also available for viewing at the Elections Office, and at its website http://www.elections.ky. Members of the public are invited to make final written submissions on the proposed boundaries to the Commission, c/o the Elections Office, by 8 July 2015.

THE FORECAST: Today: Mainly cloudy skies with a 40% chance of showers. Showers may be locally heavy and be accompanied by thunder. Temperatures will rise to the mid 80’s F. Winds will be east to southeast at 10 to 15 knots. Seas will be slight to moderate with wave heights of 3 to 5 feet. Gusty wind and rough seas are likely in and around heavy showers.
