Flooding rains continue to impact the Cayman Islands on Wednesday, June 3rd as a surface trough over the western Caribbean interacts with an upper level trough over the Gulf Mexico. By 3.30 pm on Wednesday, rainfall accumulations in excess of 8 inches were recorded in a 24 hour period in George Town, and weather models indicate a further 3-4 inches are likely to fall over the next 24 hours. Night Closure for Godfrey Nixon Way

The National Roads Authority (NRA) will close Godfrey Nixon Way to traffic from 7.00 p.m. tonight (25 May 2015) -6.00 a.m. tomorrow morning (26 May 2015). Drivers will be unable to access the road from the Butterfield Roundabout or Eastern Avenue. The road closure is to facilitate asphalt paving works and the NRA apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Regular licensing conditions/hours apply to Sunday, 24 December 2017; Christmas Day –Monday, 25 December 2017 and Sunday, 31 December 2017.
