The annual Remembrance Day (Sunday) Ceremony will be held on Sunday, 8th November 2015 commencing at 10:45am at the Cenotaph, Elmslie Memorial Church. Everyone should be in place by 10:30am. The wet weather venue will be inside Elmslie Memorial Church. Poppies are included in the official dress and will be available by the Veterans Association on the morning of the ceremony.

The Remembrance Day Service on Cayman Brac will take place this Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the Cenotaph on the lawn of the District Administration Building, Stake Bay, Cayman Brac. The public is asked to assemble no later than 10:30am. Poppies are available at the Reception Counter, District Commissioner’s Office (upstairs). All donations go to the Cayman Brac & Little Cayman Veterans & Seaman’s Society, which also has poppies at various other locations throughout the island, and will have them at the Service on Sunday as well. Today, 2 November, the RCIPS is launching its second session this year of Community Clinics for a one-week period. The Clinics, which began last June, offer the public the opportunity to meet and converse with police officers in their district face-to-face during the course of their normal day. Officers will be manning tables and distributing information and crime prevention tips in many locations around the island (schedule attached). Officers can also discuss with the public the results of the survey conducted during the Clinics in June and challenges that were identified by residents in different districts. Continue reading …

Police are asking drivers traveling north on North Sound Road to avoid the roundabout near A.L. Thompson due to a 3 vehicle collision. Traffic is blocked with Godfrey Nixon Way and North Sound Road and drivers travelling toward the Esterly Tibbetts Highway should avoid the area until the roadway is clear. Uniform officers are on scene and there are no reports of injury.
