Heroes’ Day pins

The next Heroes Day will fall on Monday, 26 January 2015 and the theme is ‘Health Services’. Each early pioneer and pioneer will be awarded a unique pin specifically designed for the award ceremony in order to honour their contributions to health and wellness in the Cayman Islands. This year’s pin design (see below) was created by Charles Gilman, Head of Government Information Services’ Graphics Unit and consistent contributor of designs for the Heroes’ Day pioneer pin. A Healthy Start: One Family at a Time

January is ‘Support Our Youth’ Month

During Support Our Youth month businesses will be asked to participate in the Cayman Islands Youth Development Consortium’s Employee Campaign whereas staff and customers will be given an opportunity to contribute to the organization’s asset building initiatives and upcoming summer camp. Donation boxes will be distributed during Monday January 5th to January 9th and collected on January 26th. Sister Islands post offices

Sunrise Offers Holiday Decorations, Presents

Christmas shoppers in search of local handmade goods are taking a close look at the arts and crafts items available from the Sunrise Adult Training Centre.  Clients at the centre work on crafts such as homemade glycerine soaps, hand painted coasters and Christmas wreaths.
